Five turbine manufacturers, six awards and six trophies. The second year of the Windpower Monthly Turbine of the Year awards celebrated product excellence, judged on design, technical innovation, installation and grid connectivity, market relevance and reliability.

Any wind turbine, blade or drivetrain available for commercial order in 2013 was elegible: judged in three turbine sizes of up to 2MW, 2.1-3.5MW, and 3.6+MW; plus Drivetrain; Rotor Blade; and Innovation.

The first supply chain awards will be revealed this summer, and the next Turbine of the Year awards will be announced in January 2015.
