Both projects will feature Nordex's N117/3000 turbines.
The wind farms have been bought through the Impax New Energy Fund II, which has invested EUR 330 million in the renewable energy sector. More than 65% of this is invested in onshore wind projects with a total capacity of 250MW.
Fortum is a Finnish energy company, while Metsähallitus is a state-owned forest management enterprise.
Finland lags behind its Scandinavian neighbours for installed wind capacity, with only 448MW spinning. The country is expected to add another 170-200MW this year, up slightly on last year's 160MW.
