Finalisation of the CA$55 million (EUR43 million) deal is conditional on finance. "We are confident to complete the acquisition and its financing as soon as possible," said Patrick Lemaire, Boralex chairman.

The deal consolidates Gamesa's bid to make wind plant development and sales core business.

The company's order books for wind plants to be delivered this year have already reached 720MW, compared to just 177MW of wind plant deliveries realised in 2011.

Gamesa confirmed the Indre plant, which will use sixteen of its G90-2MW machines, is additional to the 720MW and that delivery is due for third quarter 2013.
