The expression of interest covers various locations in the state, including the districts of Bijapur, Dharwad, Mysore and Beglaum.
The investment would be worth potentially RS15,000 crore ($2.7 billion), Suzlon said.
Under the agreement, Suzlon would take on the role of developer, while the Karnataka government would handle the necessary regulatory aspects of the planned capacity.
Karnataka has up to 13GW of untapped wind potential, according to some estimates.
