Wind generation in Spain was 5% higher despite a drop in load factor thanks to increased capacity. But even poorer wind conditions in Portugal saw production fall back nearly 6%.
Overall wind generation was up by 17% to 16,800GWh, outpacing the growth in capacity. This was largely thanks to the US and Central and Eastern Europe where production rose by 21% and 65% respectively year-on-year. Brazilian production was 451% higher following the installation of 70MW in May.
