SeaZip order two new vessels

NETHERLANDS: Two long-range vessels are to be built for contractor SeaZip Offshore by Dutch shipbuilder Damen Shipyards.

The Fast Crew Supplier vessels, to be built at Damen’s yard in Singapore, are for delivery in the second half of 2012.

The vessels can deliver people to wind-farm sites in wave heights of 1.9-metres and can also operate to far-shore sites, such as those being developed in the German Bight and UK Round 3 in the North Sea. They have a range of 1000-nautical miles thanks to a 20,000-litre fuel tank.

The vessel has accommodation for four crew and 12 engineers.
