North America and offshore pushes Repower Q1 revenue

GERMANY: Repower has announced a 23% increase in revenue to €248.3 million as part of its preliminary results for Q1 2011.

Offshore has helped Repower increase revenue

Repower said the rise in the figures, which cover the three months preceding 30 June, is largely attributable to higher demand from the North American and offshore markets.

Order intake over the period came to €218 million. The company said it had an order backlog of 2.3GW compared to 2.09GW at the time last year.

Repower majority shareholder Suzlon is currently in the process of assuming 100% control of the company.
