The deal is the first North American deal for Suzlon’s S9X 2.1MW range of turbines. The 15 turbines will be installed on the Amherst project.
The project has 25 year PPA with Nova Scotia Power and due to come online at the end of the year.
Andris Cukurs, CEO said: "This is our first order of the new S9X turbines in North America. The S9X-2.1 MW turbine is an evolution of Suzlon’s proven technology platform and every aspect of the turbine features enhanced design to deliver a higher return on investment for the customer."
