Pattern brings 101MW California project online

UNITED STATES: Pattern Energy has completed the 101MW Hatchet Ridge wind project in Shasta County, California.

The development, which Pattern Energy said is only one to be brought online in California this year, uses Siemens 2.3MW turbines.

Electricity produced from the development will be sold under a 15-year agreement to Pacific Gas and Electric.

Hatchet Ridge was initiated by the now-defunct Babcock and Brown. The company was acquired last year by a private equity company, which committed $400 million to launch Pattern Energy.
