Croatian electrical equipment maker Koncar Elektroindustrija plans to build a HRK200 million (EUR28 million) wind plant with a total capacity of around 18MW at Pometeno Brdo near Split on the Adriatic coast. The company has obtained all the necessary building permits and now plans to provide HRK80 million in cash for the project and borrow the remainder, according to company chief executive Darinko Bago. Koncar will install 15 turbines of 1MW and one of 2.5MW. The majority of the equipment will be made in Croatia, with only the turbine blades imported.
